"All fish!" is the motto of the Heinzle restaurant in Weißenkirchen. Gerhard and Andreas Heinzle specialize in classic and modern fish dishes and also enrich their skilfully presented creations with Mediterranean and Far Eastern flavours. The kitchen, which has been awarded 2 toques by Gault Millau, repeatedly demonstrates innovative accuracy in its use of ingredients.
The fish comes from Lower Austria: carp, pike and catfish from the Waldviertel, pikeperch, trout and char from the Traisental. Plus meat from the Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German), game from the Wachau and herbs from their own garden. Other aces at Heinzle: the enchanting garden terrace directly on the Danube with a unique view of the mighty river, the cozy, rustic, bright and friendly parlor and the large selection of Wachau wines.
