With the villages of Rossatz, Rührsdorf, Mitter- and Oberarnsdorf, the market town of Rossatz-Arnsdorf lies on the right bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau. Austria's largest apricot-growing municipality can look back on a 1,000-year history. The churches in Rossatz, St. Lorenz, Mitterarnsdorf, Hofarnsdorf and St. Johann, Rossatz Castle with its multi-storey arcades, the pillory and the Nepomuk statue in Rossatz as well as the remains of Roman towers in Rossatzbach and Bacharnsdorf bear witness to this.

The apricot mile presents an idyllic network of hiking trails through the most beautiful apricot gardens - and provides interesting facts about the most important Wachau fruit-growing businesses. The churches throughout the municipality and Rossatz Castle with its three-storey arcades are well worth a visit - as are the pillory and Nepomuk statue or the remains of Roman towers.

And speaking of towers: the Seekopf observation tower in Rossatz offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Danube valley. The easily hikable lookout point on the 671-metre-high Seekopf is freely accessible all year round.
