The Bayer family winery is located in the idyllic Wachau, in the village of St. Michael, the original parish of the Wachau. The Bayer winery was built in 1583 as a reading farm for the Schönbühel estate and was owned by Count Ludwig von Starhemberg for many years. The winery has been in the hands of the 5th generation of the family since 1848. The Heurigen restaurant has room for 70 people and the beautiful guest garden for a further 80. Cold specialties from the Wachau and all wines from the Bayer' winery are on offer.
