Klettergarten Senftenberg

Senftenberg has one more attraction. The new "Climbing on the Joschi Rock" in Senftenberg was created in cooperation with the Krems section of the Austrian Alpine Club (ÖAV) and invites climbers from near and far. No fewer than 19 different routes in difficulty levels 5 to 8 have been created here - there are a total of twelve difficulty levels for sport climbing.

The Krems section of the Alpine Club (ÖAV) has taken over the maintenance and also sponsored the costs for hooks and equipment. The "Joschi Rock" is located directly above the Krems river in the Hiesberg street opposite the Wieland joinery.

Climbing works the muscles like hardly any other sport. Unlike targeted training of specific muscle groups in the gym, the muscles are stressed holistically here, always with more fluid movements and the weight of your own body. It also trains coordination, concentration, stamina and courage.

A natural piece of sports equipment for the young, the young at heart and all climbing enthusiasts. Exercise in nature is simply important and the right thing to do!
