The well-known resort of Spitz lies on the left bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau. With its 50 km of marked hiking trails and its 2 km long and newly designed Danube riverside promenade, Spitz is the ideal starting point for hikes in the Wachau, the Waldviertel and the Dunkelsteinerwald - be it on the Welterbesteig Wachau - Wachau World Heritage Trail or on numerous other routes.
There is a public electric charging station for cars directly in front of the tourist information office in Spitz, and cars can also charge at the petrol station in Spitz.
Cyclists can charge up at the Spar supermarket, they have to get an adapter from the store, which is free (at least for the time being) - customer service.
