The Nibelung monument shows the coats of arms of the Nibelung towns. The Welser Tower from 1484 has housed the town museum since 1931. A magnificent museum is dedicated to Pöchlarn's famous local son Oskar Kokoschka: the Kokoschka House - the birthplace of the world-famous artist - is home to extensive documentation with works by Kokoschka himself.
