A walk through the vineyards is always worthwhile, preferably with one of the Weißenkirchen winegrowers. However, the World Heritage Trail through the Wachau promises the best views and insights. If you take the high trail from Dürnstein, for example, you will reach the famous Klaus and Achleiten vineyards, two of the world's best sites for Grüne Veltliner and Riesling.
