Weingut Familie Proidl

Immigrated from the Bremen area in 1650, we have been growing wine at our current location since 1738. Our winery is located at the beginning of the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) wine-growing region. It combines the winegrowing region of the Wachau with the typical Waldviertel landscape of deeply incised river valleys, structured by forest and rock. Due to our long roots, our family has acquired a great deal of knowledge in dealing with the local steep slopes!

The combination of generations of experience and our curiosity about everything worth knowing has created a living, meaningful tradition. We see ourselves as craftsmen, as mountain winegrowers with a past and a present. Join us on our steep path into the future!
