The house on the market square in Wösendorf, where the Kronberger family's winery is located, looks back on an eventful history. Where Veltliner and Riesling have been pressed for a few generations, there has been a women's mine, butcher's shop, school and smithy in its 600 years of existence. Today, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere of one of the most beautiful Buschenschank (typical tavern) in the Wachau under the impressive and well-preserved barrel vault. The wine comes from vineyards stretching from Joching to St. Michael, and even if there are only a few kilometers between the Jochinger Berg vineyard, the famous Kollmütz and the Harzenleiten, there are still a lot of geological and climatic differences. The Kronberger family's aim is to bottle wines that are individual in character but also typical of the region on their four hectares. In doing so, they exhaust the range almost completely: Federspiele, Smaragde, Auslese, Rosé and Zweigelt result in an impressive spectrum of wines that you can taste together with tasty snacks in the wine tavern.
