Weingut Josef Fischer: White wine, tradition and mastermind.

Rossatz on the idyllic south bank of the Wachau. This is the home of the Josef Fischer winery. The winery was first mentioned in a document back in 1898. Wine is now grown on an area of around 11.5 hectares. Combining tradition with modern, well thought-out ideas. Preserving craftsmanship, but living innovation. Respecting nature and farming with a clear conscience. This is the Fischer family's way. For five generations.

The journey of first-class wines begins in the vineyards. Five different individual vineyards offer different climatic and soil conditions, which give the wines their individual character. The Fischer winery specializes in white wines. Grüne Veltliner, Riesling and Gelber Muskateller are produced. One thing is clear: only those who work in harmony with nature can produce the best wine. Spontaneous fermentation and long contact with the fine yeast are the prerequisites for elegant, fruity, mineral and concentrated wines with good ageing potential.
