The Harald Ernst winery, which is located in the Wagram wine-growing region, is now in its fifth generation. It is located around 25 km east of Krems and 40 km north of Vienna. The loess soil on which the vines grow is responsible for the richness of the wines. The shielding to the north by the foothills of the Manhartsberg and the opening to the Pannonian climate allow the vines to ripen to a high degree. The cool and damp nights give the wines a fresh acidity and a distinctive bouquet.

The Ernst winery cultivates 14 hectares of vineyards in accordance with the strict environmental requirements of integrated, controlled production, and the vine's nutritional needs are met mainly through the cultivation of legumes and a lot of humus production in the vineyard. Careful treatment of the vines is of the utmost importance to ensure high wine quality. The winery strives for a high foliage-to-fruit ratio, which is achieved through a high foliage wall and heavy thinning. The grapes are harvested 100% by hand. Gentle grape processing and controlled, cooled fermentation in stainless steel tanks produce fruity, balanced, full-bodied, fresh wines. The combination of old winemaking tradition and modern cellar management methods is the winery's recipe for success, as demonstrated by the numerous awards it has won in recent years.
