Weinbau Leopold Bauer

The Leopold Bauer winery, a traditional family business, is located in the northern Tullnerfeld, part of the Wagram wine-growing region. It is known for its excellent wines, which thrive on the fertile loess soils of the southern slopes of the Wagram. The quality of the wines is further enhanced by the abundance of sunshine and the fresh air that blows in from the nearby Danube.

Viticulture has played an important role in the Bauer family for 150 years. In addition to viticulture, the family has been running the 'Dorfheurigen' in Bierbaum for 25 years and is also involved in arable farming, growing wheat, barley, maize, rapeseed and sugar beet.

Grüner Veltliner is the winery's main variety, known for its clear, fruity aromas. The range is complemented by Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Zweigelt. A rosé wine and a frizzante made from Riesling grapes round off the range. The Leopold Bauer winery is a must for any wine lover visiting the region.
