There is a viewing platform on the Braunsdorfer Berg (450 m above sea level) near Krems-Egelsee. It offers a wonderful view across the town of Krems into the Danube valley.
It can be reached by car through the Alauntal valley from Krems-Stein to Egelsee. You can hike from Alauntal (near the bus stop) or from Egelsee. A somewhat longer walk (approx. 45 minutes) is also possible from Stein via the Steiner Kreuzberg to the Donauwarte.
Opening hours
Mitte April bis Mitte November ist die Donauwarte täglich geöffnet und frei zugänglich.
