The Moser family is one of Austria's old and great winegrowing dynasties. The most famous scion of the family is undoubtedly the renowned viticulture professor h.c. Lenz Moser. Around 1950, he developed the high form of vine training, the so-called "Lenz Moser culture", which significantly simplified vineyard work in many places.

Today's winery was founded by his son Sepp Moser in 1987 in Rohrendorf im Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German), just one kilometer from the Danube. In addition to the vineyards (24 hectares) in prime locations in Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German), the estate also owns 27 hectares on Lake Neusiedl. In 2000, son Nikolaus "Niki" Moser took over the business. The organic freak and anti-tie wearer first converted over 50 hectares of vineyards to organic cultivation and then to biodynamic cultivation in 2006. Niki Moser's motto: "Our intention is to make fun wines. The wine world is full of fun wines that are full of fruit when drunk young and jump out of the glass at the wine lover. Joy wines can be discovered, revealing new nuances every time you smell and taste them. For us, wine is not just a tasty drink made from fermented grape juice, wine is culture. Culture is sustainable."
