House Egger is an ideal base for hikes, a visit at the wine tavern, bycicle tours, passages or canoeing on the Danube or on the tributaries like Melk, Pielach and Ybbs. About a 5 minutes walk you can find the longest nature beach of the whole Danube and about 10 minutes away an idyllic lake (with crystal clear water and 2 nice islands) is situated. Due to our location, directly on the cycling track Donauradweg R1 (Eurovelo 6) Passau - Vienna you can make numerous unforgettable excursions around. Enjoy the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Wachau and its surroundings, travelling along roads and narrow country lanes through the beautiful countryside, visit charming towns and impressive monuments like castle ruins Dürnstein and Aggstein, the municipality Spitz a.d. Donau, the Double City Stein-Krems or wether the caricature museum Krems. You can also do a ferry ride across the Danube - for sure you will like it! But in case you just feel like wanting a cooling down, you will find one of the natural beaches where you can take time to relax. On the first floor Haus Egger rents private rooms with breakfast included. It is a real pleasant atmosphere, wireless surfing throughout the entire house is provided in each room. In cooperation with the Sebastian Egger Bau GmbH we are offering, on easy terms, 2 beautiful workshop-rooms, equipped with parquet floors. The panoramic view at the Monastery Melk is marvellous. Room 1 is an opportunity for Dance, Music- and Sports- Workshops. Just feel free! Room 2, equipped with 2 treadmills (LED 700 Techno Gym) and 3 bycicles (Techno Gym) is an opportunity for triathletes and all the others sports enthusiats.
