The parish church
Mentioned in a document in 1236 as "Jakobskirche am Marktplatz in Hainburg", it was initially a classic merchant church. It served merchants as a place of worship and treasure depot. Since 1650 at the latest, this church has been the town parish church (and no longer St. Martin's Church). The church is dedicated to St. Philip and St. James the Apostles. It was rebuilt after 1683 in the new Baroque style.

The Marian column
One of the most beautiful rococo columns in Lower Austria was erected in 1749. The Marian column was donated by Elisabeth Oppitz. The four sides show reliefs depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary.
