Since 1905, the Winter family has been cultivating wine in Traismauer. Over generations, viticulture has been expanded and refined, and today the family tends around eight hectares of terraced vineyards planted with a wide variety of grape varieties. The vineyards are managed in a nature-friendly way—without insecticides, using cover crops and grass mulch—with a strong focus on organic practices. This ensures that future generations can also grow wine in a healthy, intact environment.
Our philosophy is to preserve nature’s diversity, allow it to unfold freely, and intervene in the production process only gently. This approach allows us to craft vibrant, digestible wines with a distinctive sense of terroir.
