The family-run Dam winery cultivates around 15 hectares of vines in the Traisental valley in Lower Austria, near Traismauer. The vineyards grow on calcareous loess, conglomerate and other mineral soils, which give the wines structure and an unmistakable minerality.
The focus is on producing clear, varietal wines with character. Classic varieties such as Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc as well as Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are cultivated. Many of the vineyards are cultivated organically. The style is modern, precise and honest - with a conscious focus on regionality and quality.
A special highlight is the Vinothek am Eichberg, which offers wine tastings in a modern, open ambience. The adjoining DAM SET LOUNGE offers a magnificent view of the wine landscape and invites you to linger. Wine picnics, vineyard tours and small events are also offered - uncomplicated, relaxed and with personal service.
