    Safety information

Check the functionality of brakes and tyres before every ride. Always ride with a view to danger and at a controlled speed and adapt the choice of route to the riding ability of the group and the weather. The fair play rules in the forest and the road traffic regulations must be observed. If there are stones, roots or steep sections on the route, simply dismount and push the bike if in doubt.

    Roadbook

We start at the Happyland leisure centre and cycle towards the train station. We cross the railway station and then briefly pass the Maria Gugging Klosterneuburg cycle path until we turn left. After passing Klosterneuburg Abbey and the town hall square, we take the next opportunity to turn right at the InDerBurg restaurant. Follow the road straight ahead and turn onto Lenaugasse in Weidling. Continue straight ahead again, up to the Steinböck Hütte and down to Hinterdorf. In Hintersdorf take the Pöckingstraße which we follow to Maria Gugging. At the roundabout, take the first exit, then the second exit and follow the road to the Redlingerhütte. Continue until you finally reach the L2009. In Hadersdorfs turn sharp right onto Feldgasse and then onto Hoheneggersteig, cross Kritzendorf railway station and cycle along the Danube back to the starting point.

    Equipment

A safe and functional gravel bike or equivalent is required for all routes. Racing bikes or other bikes with narrow and/or slippery tyres are not suitable. A helmet and gloves will protect you in the event of a fall. Tools, tyre levers, pump and spare inner tube will help in the event of a puncture. Sufficient provisions (food and drink) should be carried along as well as a mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.
