The yolk-yellow façade fulfills its purpose. It generates attention. Curiosity is aroused. The Landgasthaus Hiesinger in Rust in the district of Tulln cannot be overlooked and is located in the immediate vicinity of the Leopold Figl Museum. A down-to-earth inn that dates back to 1903. Host Anton Hiesinger sets the culinary tone for the establishment. Committed to tradition, the country inn focuses on regional and seasonal products. Asparagus, mushrooms, herbs, fish and game come from the surrounding ponds, fields and forests. Without question: the Tullnerfeld is many things, but not monotonous. The high-quality products go straight into the pan. Season to taste. And serve. The grilled beef with bacon au gratin, vegetables and roast potatoes fits perfectly into the concept. The roasted chanterelles with bacon, onion, egg and parsley potatoes - a feast for the eyes and the palate.
Fine spirits, lots of history
Since its renovation in 1995, the Landgasthaus Hiesinger can accommodate around 200 guests. Wedding and family celebrations are on the agenda. In addition to the parlor and a generously designed extra room, the guest garden is usually the preferred choice. No less interesting is the Leopold Figl Stüberl, which boasts a wealth of history. The landlord's collection of spirits is impressive, with around 250 schnapps, 50 types of rum and whiskies. In addition to the natural schnapps, Austrian wines can be tasted in the wine cellar and provide special moments of pleasure.
