Sights & Excursion destinations in St. Andrä-Wördern
The Danube power plant Greifenstein - Lower Austria's youngest Danube power plant - offers interesting guided tours for young and old. The 403 meter high Tempelberg is a real sightseeing mountain: with the legendary, Romanesque Greifenstein Castle from the 11th century at its foot and the 17 meter high Tempelbergwarte at the summit. From this vantage point, the panoramic view extends far beyond the Vienna Woods and the Weinviertel.

The churches in Greifenstein and Sankt Andrä, the imposing Villa Pereira from the mid-19th century and the old vicarage, which now houses a cultural center, are also well worth a visit.
