Korneuburg

The municipality of Korneuburg is located 20 kilometers north of Vienna. It is surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Danube wetlands.

Located on stage 7 of the Danube cycle path and equipped with a beach volleyball court and boat landing stage, Korneuburg is always on the move. The medieval town center with its town hall and parish church - as well as the Pied Piper Fountain from 1898 - are well worth seeing. Numerous exhibits in the Korneuburg Town Museum tell the story of the town's history. The ruins of Austria's oldest synagogue are a particularly valuable monument. It was built between 1306 and 1325 and has been a listed building since 1980.

Throughout the year, the city offers a weekly market (Tuesdays and Fridays) and a rich cultural program: The calendar includes spring music days, a colorful summer of events, harbor festival as well as other events in the shipyard and the Advent market.
