The market town of Hadersdorf-Kammern belongs to the district of Krems-Land. It is located in the south-eastern Waldviertel. The village was first mentioned in documents in 1136. At the end of the 19th century, valuable finds were unearthed during the construction of the Kamptal Railway when the burial ground of a prehistoric settlement was excavated. The more than 500 vessels and grave goods are now on display in the Natural History Museum in Vienna.
