Schlossteichkarpfen aus Sitzenberg

The Sitzenberg-Reidling fish farm, known for its Schlossteich carp, stands for the highest enjoyment in its purest form.
For over 40 years, carp of excellent quality have been bred here under the seal of approval of ‘Naturnaher Teichwirtschaft’ (natural pond farming).

They are raised in harmony with nature and are specially bred for the traditional Christmas fish market. There, customers have the opportunity to purchase fresh castle pond carp – as fillets, portions, horseshoe-shaped or as smoked carp fillets, depending on their preference.
The fillets are almost bone-free thanks to a process known as cupping.

The range extends far beyond the classic carp: smoked carp fillets, smoked carp pâtés, finely marinated fillets in a spicy sauce and tench round off the product range.

Event tip: 
As every year in autumn, the water is drained from the large pond. The fish are ‘fished’ by hand with the aid of landing nets, weighed and sorted. They are then sold as ‘Christmas carp’ at the fish market from the beginning of December.
