Step into paradise!

Romana Fischer and Christoph Hagl's show garden is located at the upper end of the Traisental valley, in Traismauer. Nine years ago, they began renovating their grandmother's old smallholding.
Today, the almost 1000m² garden is a paradise for people and animals.

The central element of the garden is a chicken coop with a large, covered run, which was a long-cherished dream. The area around it is densely overgrown and provides nesting places for birds.
A spacious enclosed vegetable garden is used for self-sufficiency and the beds, which can be found in every nook and cranny of the garden, are designed to be natural and varied. A wildflower meadow, which grows all year round, and old fruit trees can also be seen in the garden. All these natural garden elements provide a wonderful habitat for insects and birds alongside the existing insect hotels.

Seating areas and a small pavilion, on which magnificent pumpkins grow, offer an opportunity to linger and enjoy.
Romana Fischer is also an enthusiastic artist - so you will also find unusual decorative elements made from discarded objects or mosaics made from tile remnants & metal in the garden.
