Kittenberger Erlebnisgärten

Between vineyards, harmoniously integrated into the hilly landscape in Schiltern near Langenlois, Reinhard Kittenberger, his family and his team have created one of the most flourishing destinations in Austria with masterful passion. Imaginatively designed themed gardens entice visitors to take a stroll through the countryside, awakening feelings of happiness and a love of gardening.

Covering an area of over 60,000m², there are 50 themed gardens that delight visitors at any time of year with their unforgettable places, creative garden design ideas and colorful flower spectacles, from the awakening of spring to the magic of Advent.

Garden experience
In the wonderland of garden fantasy, Asia borders on vineyards, Portuguese fire art meets Celtic power, from the rainbow to the steppe, from the giant slide to the raft. Herbs spiral up a hill and appear along two paths that never meet. Alpacas, ponies, kangaroos and goats greet you. Benches and loungers, comfortably furnished with cushions, invite you to linger and look around. With skill, sensitivity and a great deal of experience, the Kittenberger team always provides fresh impetus, skillfully and discreetly for the well-being of plants, animals and visitors.

Family outing
The unique adventure garden with its family and adrenaline slide, raft pond and babbling brook, skills course and much more will delight adventurers of all ages. In the adjacent animal farm garden, dwarf goat Paulchen and his friends show what they can do in the daily program. Alpacas, ponies, bunnies and the 4 Waldviertler kangaroos complete the animal college.
For the big adventurers (aged 16 and over), Austria's first Mystery Hunt in a garden offers many exciting discoveries. In search of the Fangorn root, you will discover many a puzzling secret in the wonderland of garden fantasy.

Shopping and culinary delights
Owners of the infamous "green thumb" will get their money's worth in Kittenbergers' garden center. The tree nursery with a year-round assortment from A-Z, the flower house with seasonal herbs and plants, the perennials area, the ceramics house and much more will make (amateur) gardeners' eyes shine with joy.
The Glas.Haus garden restaurant awaits guests with fresh delicacies from the show kitchen, seasonal delicacies and one or two creative creations. You can also sit on the sun terrace by the waterfall and enjoy the view of the gardens with homemade pastries and delicious coffee or refreshing drinks.
