In addition to the historical facts, you will be introduced to the revitalized hiking trail, along which you can visit all the historical sites of the Göttweig East and West bases. The former fortifications from the First World War are being reconstructed and maintained by the FVVF-Verschönerungsverein Furth bei Göttweig and the NÖ Militärhistorsichen Gesellschaft.

Guided tours of the fortifications:
Groups of 5 people or more can book guided tours via the tourist office of the market town of Furth bei Göttweig (https://www.furth.at, Tel. +43 2732/84622). Please book at least 1 week before the desired date. The guided tours are led by volunteer hiking guides.

Important information: Stamina, good footwear and sometimes sure-footedness required! Voluntary donations for the maintenance of the facility are gladly accepted!
