Visitors to the market town of Paudorf can admire impressive wooden sculptures in various places around the town. The reason for this is the "International Wood Sculpture Symposium", which was launched in 1997. By 2012, three more symposiums had taken place and the resulting figures were set up along the hiking trail between Paudorf and Höbenbach after the end of each event - thus creating the "Sculpture Trail"! The works of art thus remain in the community, beautify the townscape and thus create identification with our community.
The appeal of the wood sculpture symposia lies in being able to watch the artists at work in the Maria Ellend "open-air studio" and witness how inconspicuous logs are brought to life and expressive works of art are created.

The best thing about it is that everything created here is born out of genuine passion - out of a deeply felt desire to bring something friendly into the world that beautifies our everyday lives and brings a smile to our faces when we see it - every day!
