Our 40-hectare farm is run by our family in the 4th generation - in the past, as usual, with pigs, cows and poultry.
Since 2000, however, our farm has been a pure cash crop farm with a focus on pumpkin and strawberry cultivation. After years of successfully growing oil pumpkins - we were real pioneers in this field back in the 90s - we started marketing edible and ornamental pumpkins at market stalls for the first time in 2000.
However, we soon realized that pumpkins were still completely unknown in the kitchen at the time. To close this gap, we opened our farm gate and sought direct contact with our customers. Since then, our pumpkin adventure farm has become a popular excursion destination for young and old far beyond the borders of Lower Austria.
Every year from the last weekend in August (starting with our opening festival) until the end of October, the pumpkins make their way into our farm. You can expect a selection of 130 varieties of edible and ornamental pumpkins, with which you can make everything from classic pumpkin cream soup, pumpkin noodles and pumpkin pie to decorations and carvings.
