The village of Marbach is uniquely situated in the Nibelungengau, characterized by the Danube river, at the western gateway to the Wachau. A picturesque vacation resort on the Danube, between the Waldviertel and Mostviertel, an hour's drive from Vienna, Marbach is the ideal starting point for many excursions.

Cycle paths on both sides of the Danube and in side valleys invite you to explore the many sights and cultural monuments by bike. 120 km of hiking trails.

Particularly interesting: baroque St. Martin's Church, manor house, Prangerplatz, Steinbachklamm gorge, Calvary, Teufelskopf. A multitude of well-known cultural rarities will whet your appetite for our country. Marbach's water sports club offers opportunities for waterskiing, wakeboarding and sports and sailing boat trips. The excursion boat "MS Marbach" is used for excursions and charter trips and as a ferry. Other leisure facilities include the popular marina, a new, modern outdoor swimming pool, a campsite, a tennis court, bike hire, access to the largest bike area, fishing opportunities and the nearby golf course.
