The parish church of Gösing, a magnificent building from the 17th century, is the result of the remodeling of an original chapel. It is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and its historical significance and architectural beauty make it an indispensable part of the region's culture and history. The parish church of Gösing is more than just a place of worship, it is a testimony to the times and a work of art that has survived the centuries. It is located in the south-east of Gösing am Wagram, in the market town of Fels am Wagram in the district of Tulln in Lower Austria, and is a listed building.

Originally a branch of Grafenwörth in the 14th century, it became a parish in 1480 when a Carmelite monastery was founded in Vienna. After the dissolution of the Carmelite monastery in Vienna, the parish was assigned to Göttweig Abbey from 1548 to 1995. From 1631 to 1752, the church was a branch of Mühlbach. An early Baroque church building was added to a late Gothic chapel, which was first mentioned in a document in 1477, in 1671 by master mason Georg Dufta. In the middle of the 19th century, the church was extended with a tower and a porch.
