Weingut Anton Bauer

Anton Bauer, born in 1971, is the fourth generation to run the 29-hectare winery. After graduating from the Krems School of Viticulture and completing an internship in Burgundy, he worked for more than four years as an oenologist in a renowned Lower Austrian winery.

In 1992, he took over his parents' winery with 3.2 hectares at the time, and has pursued his idea of quality uncompromisingly ever since. It is important to him to emphasize the regional typicity, the terroir character of the wines, which makes them unmistakable and irreplaceable.

His success proves him right, as the demand for his wines is unbroken. His typical Austrian wines - with a certain international touch - are also proving themselves on the world's most competitive wine markets: 70% of annual production is exported, with the most important customers based in the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
