The Michelhausen local history museum is an impressive guide through more than 20 centuries and an almost forgotten working world. It is located in a former locksmith's shop and presents the eight cadastral communities and associations of the municipality.
The museum offers a comprehensive insight into various aspects of life and history in the region, including school, church, community, housing, trade and agriculture.
With numerous exhibits, pictures and photos, the local history museum offers a historical review. Panels showing the course of the year in earlier times and rooms recreated with exhibits illustrate life in those days.
The museum is open every Sunday from May to October.
Guided tours are also possible outside opening hours.
A visit to the Michelhausen local history museum is a fascinating journey into the past and a must for anyone interested in the history and culture of the region.
