Winzerhof Altmann is a place where making wine means working with nature. The winery's philosophy is based on careful, sustainable cultivation of the vineyard, avoiding fertilizers and herbicides. The wines are left in the cellar to develop naturally, resulting in multi-layered, unfiltered and untreated wines with great ageing potential. The range is broad, from classic wines to single-vineyard wines and natural wines. The wines from Winzerhof Altmann come from the Traisental wine-growing region, the smallest and youngest in Austria. The mixture of warmth from the Pannonian influence and the cool air of the Alps makes for complex wines with multi-layered aromas. Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Traminer and Zweigelt are the farm's main varieties, which grow on vines up to 70 years old that are deeply rooted and extract the maximum amount of nutrients from the soil.
