Weingut Getzinger

Matthias Getzinger, who is also responsible for the vinification of the wines at the Schelling family's Stiftsweingut Herzogenburg winery in addition to his own business, is one of the most committed and ambitious winemakers in the region. His credo is to bottle not only fruity wines, but also wines that are particularly typical of the variety and vintage, and numerous awards at major wine competitions such as the awc - Austrian Wine Challenge Vienna confirm how well he succeeds in this. The wines are marketed under the label "GEMA" (Getzinger Matthias), with Grüne Veltliner and Riesling playing the main role. In addition, Getzinger also devotes himself intensively to the development of red wines - St. Laurent, Zweigelt and the barrique cuvée are considered insider tips in the Traisental.
