Gasthaus Schiffmeister

The Schiffmeisterhaus, first mentioned in 1430, is located directly south of the Danube cycle path. The cozy parlors with their old vaulted ceilings are an ideal setting for smaller parties and celebrations. In the shade of the large lime tree in the guest garden with a view of Maria Taferl and the antique Nepomuk statue from 1710 invite you to linger. There is also a small playground for children.

The Gasthof Schiffmeister has been a tradition for almost 600 years. Our motto is: "Here I am at home!" And by that we mean exactly you. Because we want you, our dear guests, to feel at home in our cozy rooms. From Friday to Sunday we cook classic "Austrian cuisine" with a seasonal focus and homemade specialties.

Especially for cyclists along the Danube cycle path, the Gasthof Schiffmeister is a conveniently located rest stop. Krummnußbaum is located directly on the Danube cycle path Passau - Vienna. Krummnußbaum is also an ideal starting point for cycling excursions to the Wachau, Erlauftal and Ötscherland! We are happy to welcome coach tour groups for a stopover. Thanks to our large bus parking lot, coaches are very welcome. Our restaurant also offers the ideal setting for parties, celebrations and seminars. These include, among others: Company parties, Christmas parties, birthday parties & tributes, christenings, first communions, confirmations, graduations, civil and church weddings.
