The parish church is dedicated to St. Stephen. It was built in 1777/78. A few years earlier (1722-1725), the church tower was added to the old parish church. At 88 meters, it is the tallest church tower in Lower Austria and, when you visit Stockerau, the church tower is the first structure that welcomes you from afar. The tower, which dominates the west front of the church, was built by Franz Jänkel and is free-standing on three sides.
