The Josef Reither Museum in Langenrohr sheds light on the life and work of the three-time governor of Lower Austria, Josef Reither (1880-1950). During his career, he was mayor of Langenrohr, governor of Lower Austria, federal minister for agriculture and forestry, Austrian farmers' leader and founder of important companies such as the Tulln sugar factory, NÖ Versicherung, NEWAG (today's EVN) and the NÖ Molkerei dairy.

In addition to Reither's economic and political diversity, the museum also shows the historical context from the imperial era through the European Revolution to both world wars, his stay in a concentration camp and the years leading up to the State Treaty of 1955. Large-format photographs, original objects and interactive stations vividly convey the events of the first half of the 20th century.

The museum offers a refresher for the older generation as well as an informative insight for those interested in politics and young visitors.
