Welcome to the Müller winery in Krustetten - where winemaking is a family affair. Several generations have been working closely together since 1936, embedded in an estate history dating back to 1270. Twelve Müllers shape this special place every day - as lively as a beehive, but still a harmonious cycle in which the wine sets the pace. From their own vine nursery to the cellar, every step is manual work and a commitment to quality. Winemaking could not be more rooted.
For us, our vineyards are part of the family - and we treat them as such. Quality is created outside, and we bring it uncompromisingly into the bottle in the cellar. Sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a responsibility we live by. The NACHHALTIG AUSTRIA seal of quality confirms our approach: biodiversity in the vineyard, compost for living soil, energy from photovoltaics and our own biomass, as well as fair cooperation in the family business. The large cycle of our winery also includes grain fields as well as apricot and apple orchards. These produce flour for our home-baked bread, Verena's jam, fluffy cakes, apricot nectar and brandy - and of course fresh fruit from the farm.
Diversity not only characterizes our agriculture, but also our wines and our wine tavern. We open our doors four times a year and celebrate craftsmanship in its tastiest form: Blunz'n, roast pork, pies, salads - all home-made. It is not for nothing that we are regularly awarded the title of best TOP wine tavern in the Krems Valley ("Kremstal"). At the same time, our wines grow in 384 plots in the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) and the Wachau - on loess, primary rock or conglomerate, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level, influenced by the Pannonian and continental climate. This results in fresh, multi-layered ambassadors of their origin: Grüne Veltliner and Riesling at the center, complemented by Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Zweigelt, Neuburger, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay.
