TIP: If you want to spend more time on the Danube, don't cross the B3 at the pedestrian crossing, but walk a bit further to the Danube beach of Spitz - pure holiday feeling!

    Roadbook

We head north from the church square. Shortly after the 1st stamp box at the threshing floor, we go right to the Hiatahütte. From there we climb through the "Bärenschlucht" to the Red Gate. After passing through the gate, we hike down to the right into the mystical Miesling valley. There we follow the stream towards the Danube. At the intersection with Kremser Straße, we keep left and walk over the parking lot of the Klosterhof and through an underpass under the B3 directly to the Danube promenade. Now we march to the right and walk for about 1 km against the Danube current. At the promenade, there is much to discover for young and old! Before the roundabout, we cross the B3 at the zebra crossing and go through the Hinterhaus district up to the ruin. The descent leads us to the Erlahof district. There, fun is guaranteed at the Shipping Museum, the playground, or the picnic pavilion. Next to the Spitzer Bach, we return via the weir into the town or back to the Danube.
