Just outside Vienna for sporty enthusiasts stretches a very special cycling route, best on an E-Trekking bike or E-MTB. Over a length of 33.5 km, the Klosterneuburger Genussradtour impresses with its route through the Erlebnispark Eichenhain, with a fantastic view of Klosterneuburg and the Danube. You also pass the Klosterneuburg vineyard landscape and enjoy the varied routing mostly on the attractive trekking and MTB trail network around the entire Klosterneuburg area. The ride is rounded off by a mostly gravelled, partly flat, partly hilly downhill section along the beautiful blue Danube. Several refreshment options underline the scenic circular route and make it an especially enjoyable cycling experience.
Highlights:
Klosterneuburg Monastery
Cycle once all around Klosterneuburg
Right through the wide Erlebnispark Eichenhain
Gugging Museum
Culinary highlights (numerous hosts and wine taverns along the route)
Varied route through the combination of trekking and MTB trails and paved bike paths
Ride along the Danube
Author’s recommendation
Ride the route with an E-MTB or E-Trekking bike!
Pay attention to the signage "MTB-Trekking - Klosterneuburger Genussradtour." The route is independent and consistently signposted!
Warning, in the area of Windischhütte and Hohenauerwiese, as well as Redlingerhütte, there are 2 short steeper sections with coarser gravel! Especially the climb after Redlingerhütte can be challenging to ride depending on the weather!

Warning:
You will be traveling partly on official MTB-Trekking trails, as well as partly on paved bike paths. However, it is generally important to check the functionality of brakes and tires before every ride. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed, and choose trails suited to the skill level of the group and the weather conditions. Fair play rules apply in the forest and traffic regulations must be observed. If there are stones, roots, or steep sections on the trail, when in doubt simply dismount and walk your bike.
