Along the Donau-Veltliner wine cycling route, you explore the idyllic landscape in front of Vienna with views of picturesque cellar lanes, numerous vineyards, and delicious Heurigen establishments. The circular route leads from Langenzersdorf via Bisamberg, Korneuburg, Leobendorf, Harmannsdorf, Manhartsbrunn, Enzersfeld in the Weinviertel, Hagenbrunn, and Stammersdorf back to Langenzersdorf. The route is named after the Donau-Veltliner grape variety. This is a new breed and a fungus-resistant vine and white wine variety. The variety is a hybrid of Grüner Veltliner and Seyval Blanc. The wine is fruity in its youth and as a mature wine, it is very similar to Grüner Veltliner.
