The Grafenwörth Peace Stupa, located in the Wagram region, is a place of silence and mindfulness. It is surrounded by untouched nature and offers a space for peace and regeneration. As a Buddhist symbol, the stupa stands for peace, compassion and wisdom and is open to people of all cultures and world views. It was built under the direction of the Buddhist monk and scholar Bop Jon Sunim Tenzin Tharchin from South Korea and serves both Buddhists and people of other religions as a place for peace and contemplation in harmony with nature.
The stupa is intended to bring people together and promote peace in a time of abuse of power, violence and war. A place of meditation and mindfulness The Grafenwörth Peace Stupa offers the opportunity for meditation in silence and group meditation (in consultation with the stupa team). The stupa was built with Buddha's teachings and offers a place to practice Buddha's teachings in order to be liberated from the world of suffering and become a perfect human being. Meditating with compassion brings mental health, happiness and enlightenment. The top of the stupa with the 13 rings and the sun and moon on it was made by a local locksmith and symbolizes the perfect realization of one's own mind. The sun disk embodies discerning wisdom, the moon disk the best method and immeasurable compassion. The Grafenwörth Peace Stupa is therefore a place that invites you to contemplate and calm your mind.
