Nursery safari in the Tullnerfeld
The tree nursery in the middle of the Tullnerfeld, which has existed since 1875, is a family business in its fifth generation of gardeners. It boasts one of the largest and richest ranges of plants in Europe and scores highly in terms of advice, planning and design. Plants for demanding applications in the Lower Austrian climate are grown on around 90 hectares of nursery land using environmentally friendly production technology - this is the passion of the more than 120 nursery specialists who work at Praskac Pflanzenland.
An experience of plants opens up, the development of the plants from cuttings to finished garden plants is shown during an interesting guided tour and, in good weather, during a nursery safari. Finally, there is an opportunity to shop in the 2-hectare garden center, where the collection of different varieties of roses and perennials is particularly worth seeing. Another attraction is Austria's largest flower sculpture, the "PrasKatz", which, at almost 9 m high and with 12,000 plants, has become the most photographed flower object from mid-May to October. Show gardens such as the roof garden or design garden provide inspiration.
