Chateau Kierling - Weinbau & Buschenschank

Full of enthusiasm, courage and drive, but without a single barrel, we started growing wine in 2009 by leasing a small vineyard in Klosterneuburg. We now cultivate four vineyards in the beautiful locations around the town. "There is a treasure in the vineyard - you just have to dig long enough!" ...and that's what we do. We revitalize old plants, plant new ones, prune, tie, dig and pluck - and with a bit of luck from above, we'll unearth the treasure in autumn.

When the cold season is over and the wine is in the bottle, it's time to move the furniture. In the adapted garages, where the wines ferment in the fall, the bar and buffet have their place in the summer and our garden becomes a restaurant. Then the whole family cooks, bakes, smokes and fries (thank you!!) to provide the many home-made specialties in our display case. We source the products for our buffet almost exclusively from small, local producers in the region
