Weinbau Eduard Schreibeis

The Schreibeis winery with its cellar on the Gaisberg is a family winery in the well-known wine village of Straß im Straßertale in the Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German) wine-growing region of Lower Austria. 18 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in the top locations of Straßer Gaisberg, Offenberg and Hasel. Resource-conserving and sustainable viticulture is a top priority for the Schreibeis winegrowing family. Half of the vineyards are planted with Grüne Veltliner vines, followed by Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Zweigelt. In addition to Grüne Veltliner, winemaker Edwin Schreibeis is particularly interested in Pinot Blanc: "It allows for a very multi-faceted vinification. My Pinot Blanc wines range from classic, full-bodied, barrique and natural wines to sweet Prädikat wines."
