The hotel became famous through the film Mariandl, shot in the sixties in Spitz (With Hans Moser, Waltraut Haas, Gunther Philipp, Cornelia Froboess, Peter Weck, etc.) Our "Mariandl" - built as the oldest hotel in the Wachau region in 1910, offers culinary specialties from the region, a nice restaurant with outdoor dining and oleander flowers, a very quiet location on the outskirts of Spitz and a unique romance. Visit also our Gunther Philipp Museum, this austrian artist played in a large number of films and was often our guest. Our hotel will endeavor to spoil you with elegant service in a traditional, stylish surroundings.
