Römerland Carnuntum Cycle Route - Great Round

The cycle route starts south of the airport and initially leads over field paths and tree-lined avenues. A special experience is the section parallel to the runways, offering a unique insight into airport operations. After circling the southern airport boundary, the route passes the wine cellar lane of Klein-Neusiedl and crosses the Fischa floodplain. From Enzersdorf, long field paths extend to the well-known wine towns of Arbesthal, Göttlesbrunn, and Höflein. The further course passes wind turbines, with a view of the Ellend Forest, through Scharndorf and Regelsbrunn. Along the railway line and the Pressburger Straße, you reach Maria Ellend, before returning via field paths to Fischamend and the airport, which is crossed on the airport cycle path. The finale is a stretch along the picturesque Danube floodplain to Schwechat, where the Albern harbor can be seen. The tour ends at the starting point, Schwechat station.
