The country inn "Zur schönen Wienerin" is located in Marbach on the northern bank of the Danube. The history of the name is not revealed here. The innkeepers Gaby and Gerhard Engel do that themselves. Guests can find out more about the history of the establishment in person. This really picks up speed in 2007 - the birth of the country inn. Since then, fresh food and conviviality have been served a few meters below the Maria Taferl pilgrimage church. It is an unagitated, but honest inn cuisine. Only the best local ingredients are used in the pots and pans. Fish from the Yspertal, cabbage roulades and the classic rice meat stand out on the menu. The Viennese fried meat is too good to be an insider tip.
Wine, bike and far-reaching views
The country inn "Zur schönen Wienerin" delights guests not only because of its remarkable achievements in the kitchen. Wachau originals characterize the wine list and provide a welcome link to the region. The blossoming inn garden provides a small foretaste of the Nibelungengau. Excursionists, regular guests and friends of pleasure can enjoy the view from the terrace of the Landgasthof. The Danube can thus be experienced up close. You can get even closer on an enjoyable ride along the Danube cycle path. The in-house bike garage and a service and maintenance offer make the Landgasthof even more popular.
