Advent Magic along the Danube The Danube in Lower Austria

Charming Advent markets, tower music, Advent concerts and children's programs attract visitors to the loveliest spots along the Danube. In the three Danube regions Wachau-Nibelungengau-Krems Valley, Kamp Valley-Wagram-Tulln Danube Area and Römerland Carnuntum-Marchfeld, the local hotels and inns treat holidaymakers to a Advent season both peaceful and romantic.

    Advent Tours in Dürnstein Abbey

    The former abbey of the Canons Regular of St. Augustine in Dürnstein with its striking blue and white tower is the landmark of the Wachau. On two weekends in Advent on the 9th and on the 15th and 16th of December, Dürnstein Abbey opens its doors for a special Advent tour through the abbey courtyard, the abbey church with its baroque cloister and crypt, and the Danube terrace.
